Pratt’s ability to provide practical solutions to complex issues is demonstrated by the following case histories:

  • Earthquake Proof Valves which withstand acceleration forces of up to 6g’s.
  • Custom Actuation/Isolation Valves that isolate a working chamber in the event of a nuclear emergency during the decommissioning of armed nuclear warheads. The valves are able to close in a millisecond using specially designed Pratt electro-pneumatic actuators.
  • N-Stamp Certification of Authorization from the ASME to manufacture valves bearing the N Symbol for Class 1, 2 and 3 Nuclear Valves. Our company meets and exceeds all of the requirements for building nuclear valves, ranging in size from 3 to 144 inches, in strict accordance with Section III of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
  • Valves Designed for Harsh Environments such as 144” diameter butterfly valve for the emergency cooling system at a jet engine test facility. The valve was designed to supply water to help dissipate the tremendous heat generated by the engines during testing.

Henry Pratt has achieved ISO 9001:2008 Quality Manufacturing System Certification and Henry Pratt has earned NSF Certification

6I approval on our butterfly valves, cone valves and check valves.
